ABOUT ME
Nominated for a 2019 Writers Guild Award for the online series West 40s and called “one of the city’s great comedic storytellers” by Time Out New York, I'm a former staff writer/producer for Comedy Central, where I created tons of promos and interstitial content. I've had shows in development with Amazon Studios and Imagine Entertainment. I'm also a writer/performer with several plays to my credit, including my off-Broadway solo shows Blanche Survives Katrina in a FEMA Trailer Named Desire, which I wrote because it was the only way I'd ever be cast as Blanche DuBois, and I Light Up My Life: The Mark Sam Celebrity Autobiography. I have performed improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade and People’s Improv Theater and performed for two years with the New York company of Point Break Live! I am a graduate of Northwestern University and a seventh-generation Baton Rougean. My greatest comic inspirations are my mother, grandmother, and all the ladies of the Baton Rouge Junior League.
